In a letter from the Most Reverend Honesto F. Ongtioco, D.D., Bishop of Cubao to Rev. Fr. Jefferson E. Agustin, OFMCap. Parish Priest and Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes:

“The Diocese of Cubao Educational System (DOCES) is strengthening its Kaloob-Karunungan Children’s Scholarship Fund (KAKA-CSF) Program that will help the parochial schools increase enrollment and at the same time cater to students who are financially challenged.”

Headed by Rev. Fr. Raymond Joseph L. Arre, DOCES Superintendent, DOCES is the Education Ministry of the Diocese of Cubao. The parish member schools of DOCES are: The Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral School Inc. Sto. Niño Parochial School Inc., St. Joseph Catholic School Proj. 3 Inc.,  Holy Family Parochial School of Roxas District Inc., Our Lady of Hope Parochial School Inc. and the Parish Of The Holy Sacrifice Outreach Program Foundation Inc.

Due to the unfortunate shutdown of a large number of private and public schools as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, catechism efforts have ceased. Since parochial schools continue to survive, in great measure due to sacrifices of teachers and administrators, the students are ensured of continuous lessons on Christian Faith Formation.

Bishop Ongtioco’s appeal continues in the letter, “I hope that you could provide 5 to 10 names of your kindhearted parishioners that can help support the said program (KAKA-CSF).”
