Homily Recap from the Gospel of  Mark 5:21-43 Jesus performs two miracles: 1)  Woman sick of hemorrhage for 12 years; 2) Gave life to a 12-year-old dead girl.

JESUS’ PRESENCE GIVES TOTAL HEALING

Complete healing can be achieved by:

1) Praying and acting on it. Do not just wish for it.

When you want or need something in your life, you do not just sit back and pray for it. While praying for it, get up move forward and work hard to achieve it.

2) Choosing well your surroundings that may heal and NOT kill you.

When Jesus entered the house of the dead girl , He told the noisy crowd in the house to leave. He chose only a few people to be with Him, including the parents of the child and His Apostles Peter, James & John. This was when Jesus started to perform His miracle.

Same with our lives. When we want to achieve something, either get rid of toxic or negative people or at least put a distance from them. Much stress affects our health.

3)  Establishing a deep relationship with the Lord just like what the Virgin Mary did when the Angel Gabriel announced that she is to be the mother of the Saviour. It was her obedience to the Lord’s will – her “Yes!” that shaped mankind’s destiny towards salvation.

Likewise, this is God’s Will: to be close to you. Along with prayer, read the Bible everyday, go to mass, get involved in activities that will enrich you not only physically, intellectually but spiritually. Fill your being with God’s presence. Healing happens when you put Jesus in your life.
